Nexon Wrote:Greetings players,

As you may have noticed, we've been having a lot of maintenance this week. Our ability to notify you in advance and provide an accurate time of completion has been spotty at best. On behalf of the entire Nexon team, I sincerely apologize. Let me be clear that a good portion of the downtime that was experienced this week was a result of some key hardware upgrades we made to our game and website infrastructure that we made on Sunday.

The goal of this upgrade was to increase performance when we had a lot of people in our games and our websites. Unfortunately, the hardware that was upgraded has not performed as expected, and we've been working with the vendor to make it work as intended. Have you ever updated your BIOS version, or the firmware on your network router, but then it doesn't work out quite as you expected? This is kind of like that.

We've got one more coming up tonight. We really hope this is the one that fixes all the issues, but unfortunately that's not something I can absolutely guarantee.

Please know that we understand and share your frustrations, and we'll be looking at ways to avoid this type of situation in the future. From all of us at Nexon - thanks for playing.

Honestly... no. But then, I'm just awesome.

But really, what an awesome comparison.
Anyway, hopefully they don't take their sweet time fixing stuff up/blaming the manufacturer after releasing the excuse.

No. Open Letter. It's to be expected. They can't really hide glaring errors like this.

Good job, Nexon. You guys usually just ignore the problem as if it never existed, and kinda hope that your players forget about it in due time or something. We should get more notices to know when they actually acknowledge issues, rather than being left in the dark to speculate if they even care enough to fix it.

It's Christmas. :[ Probably lost a bet.
If they continue this (the good half) till June, I'll be impressed.

No, this isn't a lot of hot air and empty promises like the open letter. While it does seem like they're trying to avoid blame, it's still closer to accountable then they've ever been.

I agree completely.

Words are little compensation to people who've had items disapear in random rollbacks/crashes.

I know it might be next to impossible to figure out who lost what, and the validity of each claim...but it still sucks.

No, but then again, I tend to buy my hardware from reputable vendors, even if it does cost a few dollars more.
