I wouldn't be upset with an emergency patch taking it out, since that would clearly elaborate Nexon America's intentions on endorsing leeching. With this update it's clear that:

• Nexon doesn't know SH'IT about their content, or
  
• They actually are forced to make a move against leeching. Which means the higher-ups are actually against leeching AND IT MEANS LEECHING IS WRONG. F'UCK!

Or they did this for this patch only to let real trainers get high ranked Arans before a rush of nibs.

I'm pretty sure they just didn't want to deal with the backlash announcing it would create while they were trying to patch.

The point of cutting the leech EXP by 1/2 isn't to eliminate leeching 100%. Every game will have leechers no matter what, but it's not the IWIN button to leveling as it was before.

gMS before the change: LEECHING IS SO FAST! LEECH FTW! TRAINING IS FOR LOSERS!
gMS after change: Oh leech isn't so fast anymore and I can use my mesos instead to upgrade my equipment so I train faster......... Hey you, want to go train together at Gallops? I kill rather fast.

and with less people leeching we get less people who suck at their character. At the very least we'll get more of scenario 2 than before, which is always a good thing.

Oh? I thought they removed/changed it. I remember cPQing on my Aran one day, getting NOTHING from leeching, then getting 10x the amount after a patch.

Yup, FP isn't freezing OR doing the damage that shows up. The level 1 monsters in Rien aren't dying from it's attacks. Completely busted.
