Welcome, New Maplers, One and All!



Is this your first time gracing Maple World with your presence?
Have you never heard of Henesys, VIP Teleport Scroll, Cygnus Knights, and the like?

Then we’ve got great news for you! To celebrate your arrival and help you on your way to experiencing MapleStory in all its glory, we’ve lined up events just for all you new Maplers!*



Event 1: Hey there, buddy!

Make friends in-game and add ten of them to your buddy list. Then you will be rewarded with a VIP Teleport Scroll, which is an item that teleports you to just about anywhere in Maple World. The tenth buddy must be added before December 19th, 2009 to be eligible.


Event 2: Get a job!

Level up and select your first job to receive an in-game weapon that’ll be sure to give you an extra edge over others! You can choose to be any one of these:

- Aran

Ø Aran

- Cygnus Knight

Ø Dawn Warrior

Ø Night Walker

Ø Wind Archer

Ø Blaze Wizard

Ø Thunder Breaker

- Explorer

Ø Warrior

Ø Thief

Ø Bowman

Ø Magician

Ø Pirate


Event 3: Party hearty!

Take advantage of the Moon Bunny party quest in Henesys and receive extra 30% EXP for completing the quest. Meet other Maplers and party together! If you mention that they’ll also enjoy the 30% EXP boost, you’ll quickly find many new friends!

Assumedly the same as last time, 30% extra exp from the pq, so 2080 exp for finishing the pq rather than 1600.

Doesn't look too amazing. I wonder what weapons they are giving out though. Knowing Nexon, it'll probably be a 1 weapon attack above average level 10 weapon or something.

I was talking about the bonus exp for partying. Not the exp bonus you get from henesys PQ.

That reads to me as no party bonus... Just the pq bonus

Yes, and it's written so it only says one, .

It refers to the sentence immediately before it, saying to let them know they will also get the PQ bonus exp if they come with you. And last I checked, Henesys PQ still requires a party.

If there was a separate boost for partying it would say that instead.

They're basically just re-using the same event they used awhile ago though.

This is kinda gay. Why must they keep doing stuff for lower level characters and giving nothing to higher level characters? The new exp table make 11-30 so easy that some people can do it in an hour or less.
