For our high-level players especially, what we're working on will be a true challenge. It won't be with this upcoming patch, but it will be soon.

sucks that pirates arnt mentioned. Maybe they'll release it as a new year patch and have their solgan saying "starting another awesome year with one of the best content *pirate class*. Players can except more and continue to enjoy maplestory and make 2009 a great year.(buy more nx =D)"

Ok you convinced me to do basic calculations.

I'm assuming 125 w.atk (counting echo of hero) cause it's easy, plus 115 str and 920 dex. Not great, but it's just a test character and it doesn't have stuff like Zakum Helmet even.

Minimum Damage: 3310
Maximum Damage: 4053

If it's maxed Inferno, then it's 150% non crit + 250% crit, I think. Thus 1/3 of their hp = 5000-10000, for a total of 15000-30000 hp. Since 2 of the monsters are closer to 1/3 HP bar, I'd guess it's in the lower range of this, probably something like 20-25k HP unless he's hit multiple times.

If they're wearing decent gear it could be a lot different, but it doesn't look like it.

Now on to buisness, They had to have been hit more then once, plain and spimple. Notice the hp bar of the other monster. Its lower then the rest, its almost dead. And judging from things this is Cave of Pain2... Cave of Fear 1 has the stormbrakers and the other unknown stormcaster girl. This has the darker monster on a cave thats deeper then the first meaning it would have to be stronger/have more hp. Then again what I just said contradicts itself in the fact Strombreaker's are in the map =\. But I'm geussing it was hit multiple times, and its a good thing to note that The cave starts out at level 70. so if they where really hit 25k and not dead they would have to have good exp? If a level 70monster has that much hp Lmao...

Well, it could be that each map has two species of monsters on it, and the Stormbreakers are stronger than the mage girls. So, there's a stronger species and a weaker species. Then, the Cave of Pain, the weaker monster is Stormbreaker and the stronger monster is the blue one.

Or it's the other way around, because it looks like that HP bar in the mob, which is presumably from a blue monster, is lower than the stormbreakers' HP bars, though there's several possible explanations for that.

just for reference, a monster with 25k HP would be comparable to Wolf Spiders in strength, as they have 27k HP.

My point about the 25k was because of what was said that the geuss was 25k was done to the monster, so that would mean it would have near 60k (Kinda of a geuss based on if the damage done to it was 25k and it took that much off the bar.)

Stereo was saying that they were probably hit for 3-4k, giving them an estimated total of 25k HP. No one said they had taken 25k damage. o-o

You're probably right about it being Phoenix, given the "out of arrows" message in the text. Then I'd guess the blue ones have maybe 25-30k and the red have 35-40k, and the 2 monsters have been hit twice.


1 other thing I noticed - the HP bar of the 3rd one is down about twice as much as the 2 (possibly more).



Extrapolating from the monster names, I drew about how the HP bar looks like above the others. It could be anywhere from zero to the amount of green I put on it.
