In all seriousness though, elemental stuff for classes that don't have elements would screw things up. I don't want elements for anyone but the classes that have them by default.. it's their strongest point, and if you equalize that those classes will die out even more and everyone will bandwagon others. or something idk god damnit

If the idea is that they're elementally charged weapons, that's all that would need to be elementally colored to imply elemental attacks.

And actually, I would say they're probably ghosts. Being a ghost doesn't stop you from being able to wield a weapon though, least of which a fire or ice elemental weapon.

I get the feeling these are the 120 Guardian monsters, because it looks like we'll have to enter Crimsonwood from underground. Because of that it seems more likely that they'll be ghosts of Crimsonwood soldiers.

I don't think they'll make elemental weapons for other jobs, there's nothing really elemental in crimsonwood and it would ridiculously unbalance the game. Nexon wants to create balance, not destroy it.

sooo, considering that Maplestory iTCG set 4 is supposed to come out on the 12th (a Tuesday, btw) the patch will be either in 2 days, or next week. I'm sure Nexon wouldn't let the cards ship before they can get the corresponding patch out, so I think its safe to say we will have a patch within the next 2 weeks.. Now if the cards ship, and still no patch.. Tongue

If anything elemental weapons would only boost skills that already use that element & be somewhat useless to classes who don't use elemental attacks (unless they have godly w.atk), I'm pretty sure that's how the magician Elemental stuff works (and maybe they even have a penalty on skills without matching elements, I don't remember).

I guess if there was a Fire Bow then Rangers could regret skipping Inferno all over again :p

If elemental stuff was added to all classes, it should bee added like this: (I'll put the hermit example)

Elemental stars: Give a slight (SLIGHT = 5% aprox) increase in damage for element weak, slight decrease for element resistance, and immunity = no damage. BUT they should be a bit weaker than their counterparts... for example, ilbis. Also, make them a level limit, and on a radical note, you could make them recharge only in one place in the whole world map.

while that last part would be close to crazy, that would add an element of strategy to training that would make this game godly. things like that and that type of thinking could change this game from just somewhat fun to something in depth, incredible, and amazing.

I'm sure some of the other classes would be very happy about it , but I'd be rather..annoyed if suddenly everyone could make use of elemental weaknesses via weapons/stars/arrows/whatever.

The only class who need that damage boost imo is mages , and maybe paladins on ice charge.

People on the TCG forums have said that hobby shop order forms indicate august 12th release. until that date passes let's assume it's true. There's also been some rumors of september 9th however.

I noticed, while over-analizing the screenshots, that all these monsters have blue skin.

The two mages wear similar clothes. They also wear masks, and have the same type of eyes. They ALSO have glowie hands. xD All of them, however, seem to have a symbol on them.

Anyone else see anything I missed?
