Pokemon Heart Gold & Soul Silver full trailer
Kasuhitomi Wrote:What... Ampharos was never OU. Are you talking about R/S/E gen or 4th gen here? Or just regular Pokebattling? Amphy was always NEAR BL or UU. The last time I fought a Amphy, it was using SubPunch with T-wave and HP-Ice/Leaf. Amphys takes a while to set up too. Their speed isn't exactly magnificent.

Edit: Says 'UU' on Smogon. So I'm assuming you mean G/S/C, right?

My bad, was referring to in-game, not the metagame. People tend to have one for most of the game simply because it can sweep anything with a moderate level advantage.

If I get HG/SS, I may try a Yanmega team...

Huh, I never noticed the amount of Southperrians who play Pokemonz, at least competitively.

Anyone want to battle on Shoddy? Shine

I don't, but I may start. I just want to find a way to use UU or NU pokemon to wipe the floor with someone and change the metagame, then quit.

This is only do-able with Borderline Pokemon, or maybe UU, but not NU. Shedi was the pomegranate on NB with a Choice Band, for UU, iirc. There's a reason they're NU.. lol...

@ClawofBeta: I quit NB about 3 years back (but played it for a good 2 years..), and I stopped playing when Shoddy came out. I tried Shoddy, and hated the interface, and just plain quit. I think NB still exists, if so, I'd totally NB, I'm just staying away from Shoddy's shitastic GUI.

Competitive Pokemon is when Pokemon gets really fucking fun.

I stopped playing competitively when I lost my DS, I used to play on Shoddy a bit but stopped when I lost my DS.

Competitive is boring most of the time, imo.

It's not fun when you spend 5 hours beating little kids with a team of garchomps and mewtwos.

That is not competitive battling.

dude, that's where all my adventures with garchomps and mewtwos go.

and I never understood shoddy. you go build a generic team off smogon and proceed to beat the crap out of someone else with the exact same team.

Lol. When I was playing NB a lot, I did opposite. I made a team consisted of 'some' OUs and BorderLines, with different techniques that most people wouldn't expect me to use, and then pwn them in the ass.

CHOICE-BANDING SUPAH-POWAH REGIROCK, ANYONE??!?!?! ESPECIALLY IN FRONT OF SKARM, and they expect me to use something else, so they switch back to Bliss and get raped in the ass.

NB was good.. heh... really good. I also loved Agility-Gross, agility once, and start spamming STAB'ed-MM like a crazy mother-fucker!

Skarmbliss is too overused to be good nowadays IMO. Skarmlax ftw!

LOL @ Skarmlax. Actually, since 4th gen Metagame, SkarmBliss is completely 'obsolete' anyways. But yeah, I used a Skarmlax/Bliss team on NB. I had both Bliss and Lax. Mine had Double-Edge for more effective STAB (on 3rd gen MetaGaming), and I think it had Lefties equipped on it. Snorlax was the pomegranate.

I prefer ZapBliss, although I do hate stall in general.

I have a very weird team (at least by Smogon standards). A Flygon lead, a Porygon2 that acts as a counter/semi mixed wall, Forretress physical wall and spinner, Bulky DDragonite (I can't wait for Extremespeed), SleepTalk Gyarados, and an Arcanine finisher. Yes. An Arcanine late-game sweeper.

I peaked at 1500 though, so my team isn't entirely bad, but I get pwned by Swampert.

Well Southperry, it's been fun. Once these translation updates are over and done with, I'm afraid I won't have time to browse this silly Maple Story forum any longer.

I've got far more important things to do.

Reminder: 6 months = ½ of a year

Enjoy waiting. It'll just be sitting right in front of you the whole time, taunting you.

You know you want it... I know you're salivating this very moment at the thought of playing it.
