People are already reporting crashing problems with this game if you play via rom of course.

It depends on which emulator you use. I tried out NO$GBA, iDeaS, and DeSmuME: N0$GBA couldn't get past the character creation, iDeaS had sound problems, and DeSmuME has given me the least amount of problems, with minimal crashes.

Just have to save often.

Patches pop up like every 10 minutes. Hopefully, it'll be completely playable when I get home.

I've heard there's a part where some girl walks up to you and asks you to press a button on your Pokewalker, and you're boned though, so...

I am so pineappling pumped for this. >:o

Since last spring I began collecting event Pokemon and such, so I have some Pokes that are required for events in HG/SS. I really, really want to do that.. but alas, no flash cart. :X

Perhaps I'll borrow a friend's and migrate the event Pokemon over.

FYI, these Pokemon trigger events:
Shokotan Pichu (Pikachu-colored Pichu) - unlocks Notched-Ear Pichu
Nintendo Zone Jirachi (Japanese DPPT event Poke.. for now) - unlocks some new area
Eikagan Arceus (Movie 12) - unlocks lv1 Dialga/Palkia/Giratina

Come on guys, buy the Pokemon games instead of risking it with a glitchy ROM. Sad

Hell, I bought Diamond and Platinum while my friends ROMed them. There are just some games you can't just ROM it.

ROM Chrono Trigger DS, and I will rage with the wrath of Thor. Some games are too awesome to be ROMed.

Bah, touchscreen is way better than the computer fail imitations.

Of course, I'd have to borrow my sister's DS if I want this game, or perhaps buy a DSi...

HeartGold FTW.

No, everyone and their mother ROMed the SNES version. For me, buying the actual Chrono Trigger was to atone for my sins of ROMing such a great game in the past.

YEAH GUYS WHY DON'T YOU JUST IMPORT THOSE JAPANESE GAMES ARGH

Thanks but I'm going to emulate it until it's released in english over here. I'm not about to pay for something I can't understand.

Actually everyone SHOULD download Chrono DS. Nintendo/Square porting it (didn't even upgrade anything really (OOOO NEW TOUCH SCREEN FEATURES!)) is fairly insulting to the original team. Chrono Trigger was a great game and if I could go back in time I would've bought 3000000 copies of it to support the team who ACTUALLY MADE IT. Very little, if any, of the money goes to the original creators. Square has been really disgusting recently about just recycling old favourites to milk what they can out of them (how many versions of FF3/4/5 are there right now?) and when you buy from them you just support a really bad trend.

Maybe if they focused more of their manpower away from old rehashes we'd see good new stuff being released with more haste (hello FF13 22 years in the making)

Why would I play something I can't read? I'll wait for an English release and play with on my R4 of course. I'll buy it if I have the money, but if it leaks early no way in hell am I waiting. I can't wait to put like 100 hours into this game. Big Grin

Meh i already downloaded the ROM and i don't care if it's Japanese. One thing though is that i know what to do since i've played Pokemon Gold as a kid, even if there were changes between Heart Gold and Gold

Translator patches that translate Pokemon names, menus, and items are already available. Won't be long before the entire translation is ready. :3
