Takebacker Wrote:Have we given up on the ninja town being behind the dragon door or was that disproven by something recently?
Well, these are Raven Ninjas, and the Dragon Door would be for Dragon Ninjas. Now it's just an assumption, but I don't think it's a stretch to say that two groups of ninjas don't like each other. So, their bases don't necessarily have to be close together. It's possible that they are, and it's possible that they're far apart.
These are all the unused items that have been floating around since the NLC patch. you've probably seen most of them in my expansions thread, but there's a few new ones here that I never brought up before.
ETC items
Lost Ankh
An arcane key needed to unlock Bigger Ben's Pharoah Gate.
(No real image) Komodo Key
A key dropped from the Komodo Duo. Can be used to enter Foxwit's Den. Lift Key
A key used for the Elevator in Bigger Ben. Dragon Jewel
A jewel passed down through the Dragon Ninja clan. Allows access to any member's inner sanctum. Gullivera Coin
A mystic coin that temporarily bonds with the traveler for a short period of time.
USE items Merlin Orb
A majestic orb said to have been the property of a powerful mage. Gives a boost of +40 M. Att for 15 mins. (I'm not sure if this is Masteria related or not, but it's ID number is right in the middle of all the NLC pots, next to Leaf Crystal. Must be related, no?)
(No image) Devil Rain Throwing Star
Throwing Star
What exactly is a Tao? Apparently it is necessary for a "ritual" of sorts (responding to Fiona's quote of "secondly")
Who is Rafael? Out of curiosity
Is chaos magic similar or equal to the Dark Magician of Maple's story?
Wandering in circles can imply that there are many new ways of transportation, such as teleports or a maze, to get to Crimson keep? I might be overthinking this, but it's always okay to speculate when it comes to a mystery such as this, no?
Three possible areas: Phantom Forest (the real deal), Crimsonwood Mountain, and Valley of Heroes.
The other day I was searching for Pirate weapons on the MTS, when I came across a Dagger called "Darkstar Dagger" or something like that. It didn't have an image. I also found a Bow, but don't remember it's name, it also didn't include a picture.

There are a LOT of Masteria weapons which aren't present in the data yet either. The bow was probably the "Barracuda Bow." there's a whole set of river/jungle themed weapons in the data with no pictures. Um... I'll find the rest of them in a minute.
Barracuda Bow - Bow (duh)
River Rattler - Crossbow
Celestial Python - Claw
Darkstar Dagger - Dagger (as he mentioned)
Komodo Sword - 1 handed sword
Wolf Gauntlets
Dragon Gauntlet
Golden Gloves
i wonder if the shadow knight reference is a relevant piece of data or just a type of weapon. that would be an interesting addition if it turns out to be something.

since the advertisement that showed jack baricade had a phantom forrest like appearance and jack is in the valley of heroes wouldnt it be safe to say that what everyone is calling the phantom forrest is actually the valley of heroes ?

No, because the Phantom Forest is section of the continent, which contains the two towns Haunted House and Crimsonwood Keep. Valley of Heroes may be an area of Phantom Forest, but Phantom Forest is definitely a valid location.
By the looks of it, Valley of Heroes is an area before CK, probably a few maps before the actual Crimsonwood town/dungeon/whatever. I'm still waiting for an explanation of the graves in MesoGears. .
all the *clues* sound interesting but the thing that intrigues me the most is the fact that some sort of forging will be possible and mixed with the grand masters being mentioned (lefay) possibly means some really nice equips comming our way (I hope i'm high enough lvl to make use of them...) hopefully they don't make it crap like the lefay jesters being forgeable and crap like that

if we assume the ninjas are in the keep and they are talking about the valley then cant we assume itll be behind the keep... wouldnt stronger monsters be behind the weak monsters rather than blocking the road of the weak monsters so that none of the level 45's can reach them o.0. thats assuming the valley of heros is where the good stuff for the high levels is located o.0.

i mean people are calling the thing where jack is phantom forest but it could be that thats the valley of heroes which could be on a diffrent path than the phantom forrest i didnt mean the the phantom forrest didnt exist.

That would be the nail in the coffin for Meditation. If they do that, they would REALLY need to change Med to be worthwhile in some way. It really should just be percent based, so that at low levels, it can give ~20 magic, but in 4th job, it would add a great deal more (such as 50~100). This would also put Mages up a peg as attackers compared to Bishops.

I would guess that this "Valley of Heroes" is simply a valley leading up to the plateau where the keep is located. Barren mountains typically don't jut out from forests, do I would think that a person would exit the forest briefly before beginning to ascend the mountain.
The term may also allude to an area laden with caves and passages along the base of the mountain, since last I checked, the idea was that there would be many caves. It could also be an area which would allow players to circle from the forest back over to the jungle. I know plenty of people have asked for a circle path, but honestly, I'm more hoping for a walking path from NLC to the Phantom Forest.
EDIT: about the gullivera coin: look up "gulliver's travels". That could possibly be related, although I'm not sure how they could handle that sort of thing in a Maple-y way.

www.mmorpg.com/gamelist.cfm/game/166/feature/2068/from/%2Ffeatures.cfm%2Fview%2Flatest Wrote:Shaun was pleased to tell me more about the content release scheduled for early August. The latest Masteria expansion was specifically created by the American Team for the US market. In it, players will find icons of American Pop Culture such as Bigfoot and a Trading Card Game and they all have been “MapleStory-sized.” That is to say, they all maintain the cute, pixel art look and feel of MapleStory characters. There are three new areas that will be available to play in:
Phantom Forest is a 45+ level area which is haunted. There, players will find a Haunted House, Headless Horsemen and Elder Wraiths among other monsters, and may encounter the boss, Big Foot. Shaun described the forest as a “Forest of Illusion like Super Mario world.”
Phantom Forest leads to Crimsonwood Mountains that is a 70+ level area. The first area you must navigate is the Valley of Heroes where huge living pillars of stone known as Menhirs roam. These critters cannot be killed and players must use their timing and jumping skills in true platformer style to get through them. Players will encounter six new enemy types here, and find a number of caves which are actually solo-able dungeons. Finally, they encounter level 120 Guardians which guard the way to the next area.
Crimsonwood Keep is the ruins of what was once a great thriving Keep where the finest Masterian heroes trained and learned their trade. Another level 70+ area and a massive map.
In total, there are 31 new maps, 11 new enemies and new weapons – many which will be player created, and 12 epic quests, each with many steps and mini goals.
ok o.0. i thinks thats more than enough info to blow us away o.0. holy cows. jq to get to the new area holy fungus. 11 monsters on 31 maps o.0. im guessing there will be little to no ksing + soloable maps*wonder if thats like the kms mini dungeons that only alow 1 person in and his party o.0.*. the solo-able maps really doesnt go with the working together stuff nxprose was talking about o.0. wonder if snipe will work at the pillars or if they'll make them like the bot catching monsters where if you hit them you get sent back to town or something o.0. It all sounds really exciting except for the early august thing... i was hoping next week we would get to enjoy it .... hmmm

(from above spoiler
LOL bigfoot =P I knew that there might have been a chance to see a maple version (still might be, who knows how trustworthy the site may be with intelligence gathering 0_O)
I hoped that there would be a prelude to the Keep, only because a taxi there would ruin all the space inbetween =P
But please not have a jump quest that leads to the Keep... That would hinder somee of the maplers' fun only because Jump quests are really difficult for some people to do (me being one of them).
An illusion forest may be a great thing; sort of like Ludi maze pq.. but on a much larger scale and a bunch of monsters that are trainable =P
Maybe the path could never be concrete and change everytime you enter the maze? That would make things difficult and new everytime 0_o
of course there are those warp to Keep scrolls to take care of the lazy people... but you have to get there first =)
Yes.. apparently we need to accomplish a jump quest to get to the Keep... Hopefully it's just a short one that includes jumping on moving platforms instead of the real complicated ones like the Zakum one >.>
I hated that JQ... Pissed me off to no end. Wasted like 234234 pots trying to get to the middle...
