Not sure if this is the correct section, and sorry in advance if it isn't.
I would like to know if Maple can run on netbooks. It's those really small mini-sized laptops designed for surfing the web. More on it here.
'Cause my computer is getting extremely laggy, it takes me 10 minutes to start it up and another 10 just to open the IE. Maple lags no matter what, and since I'm getting a netbook next week, it's a godsend. So I really hope Maple can run on netbooks, or I'm just gonna beg my dad for a new computer

Yes, it will run. Not sure how well it will run, but it should be playable for sure.

I believe most netbooks run on the Intel 945GSE chipset, which outputs the graphics.
I have the Intel 945 GMS Chipset myself, and I'm able to play nicely, although 20+ man zakum runs are really laggy (around 8-12 Frames per second). Horntail is impossible. For actual training (with Ultimate spamming Bish/Arch) is doable =]

Ive noted around here a few places that i can run Maple 100% fine on a Eee PC 1000H, only problems ive had are that i can not use Corkscrew Blow charging and walking left and trying to jump, also there is a slight lag when skills are being used for the first time, as well as when drops pop outta monsters for some reason. Overall, best 350 bucks ive spent on a laptop that can play maple with full graphics on.
Also, i was able to do a full Zakum run (twice) without lag, except for skills being used for the first time.

My Eee PC 900 is fine too, its only problem is most quickslot keys are unusable since 4/6 are Fn-arrows, and some key combos (left+up+some letters) won't work.
I tend to play in window mode 'cause the screen is an odd ratio (128:75, technically - a little taller than 16:9) and stretches it a lot. The good thing is that it handles window mode a lot better than my desktop... even though the desktop is far more powerful it gets similar framerates.
Have run into no framerate problems either, though I haven't tried any bosses.. I guess it helps that it's running a near-new install of XP since I only put it on for the purpose of playing MS.

I don't have a netbook, but my (old) laptop has similar stats to most netbooks (almost everything except the widescreen, lol), and it works perfectly fine. It's my only computer. I tend to start lagging after an hour, hour and a half of Zakum, but that's more due to an overheating issue, which is due to the laptop's age. You might have to turn down the graphics every now and then.
Your quickslot keys might be hard to press, but you should be fine otherwise.
EDIT: Make sure you keep it tuned up, because you won't have much room for error with viruses, disk fragmentation, spyware, etc.

The screen is quite small... It wouldn't be pixelated or anything if I hooked it up to my TV or desktop monitor, will it? Thanks for the tip though, I'll do that

A computer/laptop specially designed for surfing the web. That's why I was kinda concerned if it could run Maple. Here in Singapore it's around 500 bucks, maybe 700 USD. Not very sure on this.
