How do you want to die?

As we all know, death is inevitable. Death is what awaits us all at the end of the road.

How do you wish your death to be?

I, personally, want to die in my sleep.

I would like to die in my sleep, as well. Preferably around the age of 80-90. If I'm gonna get killed some other way, I hope it's a quick death.

thought about this for a long time in my lifetime and i think terminal illness. tomorrow is fine, but i don't have a terminal illness in final stages, and it would be silly to get one on purpose.

but guess i don't really have a choice so will accept whatever (:

don't really want a quick death: seems so unfinished. i think slow death is an important part of life and i would like to have it. ageing naturally does it, but i don't want to live that long!

I dont want to die.
But if i will, i would like to do something i always wanted to do. Such as jumping from airplane

At least I'd love to die doing something amazing, like fighting a dinosaur, getting squashed by an anvil, or saving the world with a bunny suit.

That way, if there was a single person that would miss me, they'd still have a smile when they think of my death.

Alternatively, something quick and not dragged out. Suffering sucks.

life is long and dragged out, unless you die in extreme childhood. and some say living is insufferable, so isn't dying preferable?

i say terminal illness because i am too much of a coward to volunteer myself to death by torture. also because you can't guarantee you will die eventually, your torturers may want to keep you alive. if that happened, i guess i would look for death everywhere. but the important thing is hopefully that i would be a witness to other people who knew what i was going through and maybe their lives could change.

you cannot influence others' lives if you die quickly, right?

on remembering: people forget and chase after other things while they are still alive, everyone is selfish. they will not remember us forever. humans do not have infinite memories. none of us remember all the humans that died and wished desperately to be remembered. likewise we will also be forgotten.

i am still a coward, and still prefer terminal illness.

A lot of immediate pain, then darkness. Being shot in a critical location or having my head cut off are some ways I'd like.

I want to fall off a cliff and die of a heart attack before hitting the bottom.

Based on the replies this thread is getting and the seriousness (which is nonexistent) that people are replying to this thread with... I'd say this belongs in the Funhouse.

Anyways, I'm too young to die. The time I'll want to die is determined by when my spouse (that one day I'll have) dies. Should she die of old age (in which I'll also be old and crippled), I'll ask for a lethal injection. Should she die young, then IDK actually, because then I'd have to stay alive to raise (a possible) family (that I might one day have). If the latter were the case, then I'd want to die in my sleep.

I feel sorry for whoever your partner will be. That's pretty gross.

I would like to be an old man by that time, and I'd prefer to die in a way that no one I love will see as a tragedy.
