Advice please.

Sup, I'm currently upgrading my Shadower and have a question about which path to take. Should I go for a 10 ATT Narican or a HT pendant? Here is the effect each will have. Ultimately I need to end up with 60 STR for my new Khanjar. With my current equips I have 44 STR (4 base STR). 16 to go. I do NOT want to rely on MW to equip anything. Note that I am currently wearing a deputy star.

If I get a Naricain pendant, I will need to trade my 6 DEX cape in for a 10 STR cape (hopefully 4 ATT), now because I lose my 6 DEX it will take my 142 DEX (80 base) down to 136, so I need to make up 4 DEX to wear my Blood Dagger. This will most likely be done through a 4 DEX face accessory. Then, to reach that 60 STR, I would have to add 6 STR to bring my base up to 10.

Now if I get a HT pendant, it will put my STR to 61 and my DEX to 159. This means I can change my 6 DEX cape to a 10 LUK cape (hopefully 4 ATT), bringing my DEX down to 153. Then, I can change my 10 DEX earrings to some LUK earrings (at least 10). That'll bring my DEX down to 143, so I can still wear all my equips. Since nothing I have gives 3 DEX or less, there is nothing more I can sacrifice.

What do you think would be the better option damage wise, and what would be better cost wise? Remember with HT pendant I can probably get a job as a seduce mule with some friends XD Or the price may even go down because of the Naricain. Hopefully one path emerges as the stronger AND cheaper option. Your help is appreciated.

It's difficult to tell you what the better option would be, pretty much because the whole Naricain vs. HT Pendant will change in time. The release of the Naricain pendant has pretty much assured me that the 2nd egg will be released in GMS eventually, and that's why I'm choosing not to convert to Naricain. We as STR Shadowers take advantage of more stats than any other class, and while a HT Pendant benefits us the most, you're still going to be stronger with the Naricain.

Take Nexon's antics into consideration; they released a pendant that will, in time, be far more common than a Deputy Star. CWKPQ is an easy one, and Horntail's difficulty in comparison to the CWKPQ bosses makes one wonder why the better reward comes from the easier fight. It doesn't make sense, but the release of the other eggs will completely change that. If you don't want to take any chances on choosing a path that you'll regret, then go with the HT Pendant. One day those eggs will be released, and everybody who converted their strict statbuilds to fit the Naricain Pendant will be fucked after they calculate how much they'd have to spend on AP resets to "fix" themselves.

if it's an option, have both a naricain pendant and an egged HT pendant in your inventory. it will make you stronger if you have a naricain pendant. dont replace your dex cape with a str cape. just scroll a str top to be able to equip the khanjar. when the 2nd egg for ht is(or is not) released you don't have to worry about spending 100+$ on resetting and pomegranate. you can simply wear the ht pendant and replace str top with luk top again or just upgrade to dragon khanjar.

I've already got a STR top. It's 17 STR. I got some more advice and decided to take the Naricain route, which will involve me getting a 4 DEX face accessory (hopefully that nice racoon mask =P) and a 10 STR cape, then adding 6 points in to STR. Even if the second egg DOES come out, as you said I won't need to do any resetting or upgrading.

If the HT necklace enables you to get more than 10 attacks (or however many the mark gives), then go for it. Remember that it's somewhat easier to switch from a HT necklace to a Mark once you've got better gears.

I remember that, but they fixed it. Now, it just prompts you with a message saying you can't attack/use the skill due to lack of sufficient stat needed to equip the weapon.

Eye accessories (such as the raccoon mask) aren't good for dex, as 60/70%s only add acc, and 10/30%s add 1 dex. You want the branch nose or rat mouth.

I would seriously, seriously recommend you to do a trade-off.

The Mark of Narician's 10 (or more) att boost is much more than what you're going to get from a HTP + egg. Sure, you might lose some stats, but watk boost gives a much greater effect on your attack range/damage than HTP itself.

Oh yeah, don't forget the HP/MP boost. The HP boost especially will give you a bit more to boot when it comes to survivability with MG.

Just go for the 10 str cape and dumping 6 AP into STR. It might sound like a loss, but it'll be more beneficial for you in the long run.

Edit: What Stereo said, go for a Branch nose or w/e. 10 slots > 5 slots, which gives you a better chance overall to scroll more DEX into that equipment.

Raccoon things are face accessories o.O I see some being sold, I just saw one with 5 DEX. I only need 4 though. Don't wanna waste any money =P

Huh? Raccoon and White Raccoon Masks are considered Eye Accessories. They're quite hard to get Dex on because only the 10/30% scroll adds 1 Dex.
