Dogs Keep Getting Into the Trash. D;
#1
My dogs are 7 and 8 years old, and have had no previous problems. In the past month or so, they've started getting into the Trash. No idea why.
Nothing special in the trash, so it's really weird.

Anyone know why my dogs are attacking the trash all of a sudden? o.o

Oh, guess advice doesn't count as smart-peoples talk. My bad.

Haha, well that's good. I was kidding anyway.

Erm, any chance of some smell attracting them? I really don't know.

Neither of them has been on any medication for anything, that could have caused a change in appetite, and then the other dog just copied?

If it's the trash in the kitchen, it's probably the smell of food that's attracting them to it.

There may be a peculiar scent from some garbage from before. Clean up your trash can (soap + hose water?), and see if they still go after the trash.

One had a sis removed not too long ago. :O

Why now? Why not for the past two years or so that I've lived in this house?
It's really the only trash they can get it. Rest are under sinks and stuff.

in our house, since the dogs are really small (daschund), we lifted the trash cans and tied them to the wall near them. That way they are impossible to reach or to fall on the side.
