Stage 4 in Mountain of Faith pisses me off. I can never get past it without dying, even though I've pretty much mastered the other 3 stages. xD

EDIT: Finally got past Stage 4 today. Only used 1 bomb and died once on the boss. That's pretty good for going against all of her spell cards for the first time.

Holy crap, I didn't think these games would have so much of a following. o_o' I discovered Perfect Cherry Blossom through a blog about Japanese things, so I downloaded the demo and loved it. I made my avatar out of a screenshot from that game. I even hax translated the config program for that game, 'cause the Japanese text annoyed me.

Just as you used a picture from there to use for your avatar, I used the final boss' picture, took out the background, and used it for my sw post background.

I basically screencapped various character expressions in-game, for potential use as avatars later on. The file above is time stamped as last modified on December 6, 2005, 1:54:03 PM. I had no idea that my current avatar was almost 3 years old. I also feel like an old Touhou fan now. >.>

Ahh! Finally, after hours of seeing deaths, I've finally beat Stage 6 on Mountain of Faith. xD Holy crap that boss is hard.

I heard fraps, but when I record, the FPS goes to 10-15.

Kyah. I fail so hard at these games - I can't even beat Imperishable Night on easy ;; and I lost my Perfect Cherry Blossom copy, which I also couldn't beat. The card-throwing boss (... drawing a total blank name-wise here) drains at least 3 lives each time I fight her, then I die on the next level.

But they're good practice for character recognition, heh - I've improved by a bit on my hiragana just by trying to sound out the dialogue before it vanishes.

And I use the aforementioned fraps whenever I want to record something - the framerate loss doesn't kill you, so it just makes you stronger, yes? :3

Record a replay?

There are other recording methods other than fraps. If you don't like the slow gameplay you can find another recorder.

Touhou, I'd have to say is a fun series for me when I feel like bullet hell games. I have a couple of them on my computer, and play them occasionally. Haven't beat any on hard, but easy and medium I have actually beat some.

I've beaten PCB, Imperishable Night, and MoF on hard without using a continue, and the best I've done on PCB is getting to Ran but I always die on her 2nd spell card I think >_>

I like PCB the most, followed by Scarlet weather rhapsody. My favorite characters are Yukari, Patchouli, Youmu, and Yuyuko <_>

EoSD... Remilia is so hard ._.
MoF is just ridiculous to beat without continues on hard (for me at least)
I haven't gotten around to playing Imperishable yet

I finally got to Stage 6 on Hard in MoF. The bosses aren't that hard once you get used to the pattern, but the stages are killer. >.<

There are harder games out there (Such as "I wanna be the Guy")

Just got PCB to try out the touhou games for the first time. It's hard as hell, but I love it! I recommend it for anyone who wants a challenge
