So that’s a staff then? Does this mean a whole set of zakum themed weapons will be added or is it just a one off?

This should have been what the iTCG Set 5 was for us. Upgradable Zakum weapons.

Lol, a weapon. xD

Staff/wand? Mages ftw? Nexon better make things up for all the other classes.

I can understand how they can make a staff out of demon wood, but i don't see how they can make weapons out of all his other parts. Bows/claws/daggers/guns would be a problem.

It's a wand. Don't see any signs of others at the moment.

I really don't like where this is going though. Karma Scissor abuse is already skyrocketing Sad

55 m att is an absolutely ridiculous number relative to current weapons. lvl10 staff has 25. looks like they may be trying to balance mage damage?

Lol, just wait till Nexon America implement them. Then we will see abuse.

I highly doubt this. Else it wouldn't be an untradeable/$$$ tradeable weapon for lvl10 mages. I suppose they'd overhaul then all current staffs and wands :o

Why would it matter if the end result is another luckless wand? There's no proof of it being luckless, but still.

Since you can't use Karma scissors on it, it means you need to be level 50 to get it, and by that point they're not that good.

Still I doubt it was made with the intention of Karma Scissors as a level 10 weapon, not like theres a big market for 30- weapons as is, its probably going to be able to be upgraded in the near future, or used in some quest line or something, I just dont see it as anything useful at this point.

They're pulling a trickster and making boss equip-sets. loooooool

PIANUS FIN BLADE. I'd crack up hard if that happens.

Lol I dont doubt they're doing that right now, but to make it level 10 is weird, till probably be changed or its upgradeable.

Uh... What? It's difficult to make a bow out of demon wood?

Crazy nitpicking aside, there has to be something else behind that staff besides Karma Scissor abuse...

------

That staff made me think of an idea that I've seen implemented in Kingdom of Loathing (although I'm not sure why). In Kingdom of Loathing, wearing all of the equipment of a certain equipment set granted different passive bonuses depending on the set.

(For example, wearing all of the equipment involved in the 'Star Garb' outfit in Kingdom of Loathing gave your character +7 to all attributes, but as soon as you un-equip anything related to that outfit, you lost that passive effect.)

(In MapleStory, let's say that there's a Hermit wearing the entire LV 100 armor set, and while everything related to that armor set is equipped, let's say said Hermit gains a passive +10% LUK or HP, or immunity to a certain status effect.)

I think that something like this might be a possible step towards helping normal classes catch up with the general stat-less people, seeing as the general stat-less people tend to equip stuff purely based on stats anyways (I can't draw any reasonable non-stat related relation between a Work Glove, a Face Stomper, and a Sauna Robe...).

Someone over at the AsiaSoftSEA forum posted something on this issue that was not all too optimistic at all.

I think the post went something like, "Another game uses it, look how many hackers are in that game, KMS is likely going to get majorly hacked unless nobody cares enough to hack KMS."

Other than that, I haven't seen anyone else that has any idea...

EDIT: On another note, someone over there also claims that there's going to be a server named Pikachu in... I think it's supposed to be ThaiMS. The heck? I don't know whether the guy's being serious or if it's a really bad translation job.

That's true, they really did switch off Gameguard. I wasn't very enthused with this change. KMS doesn't really have any hacking issues, but this might be enough to prompt it. >_>
