Are Steelys being hacked?
#1
Ilbis are dropping rapidly in price because of hackers. I know that. But are steely going down because ilbis are? Or are hackers farming them as well?

Thanks for your info.

Oh, that makes sense. I was wondering why there was a never-ending flood of steelys in free market. :/

I don't see the downside. Besides the immorality of owning/buying hacked items or whatever, deflation is generally a good thing in my opinion. o_o

Same for TT 30. I've seen as low as 100m now.

But yea, we're going in the tank. Like gas prices, kinda, but not really to an economical standard.

I hope the hackers go away soon, but lower prices are one of the good parts of hacker outbreaks.

Certain items will deflate, but you have failed to realize that Leps drop pomegranate tons of mesos. This is like printing new currency it will cause the price of almost everything to go up. (See: Zimbabwe, or Weimar Deutschland)

I think the low price of Ilbi's has really hurt the steelie market. Right now in Mardia you can get Ilbis for 10M to 10.5M. Being able to buy such cheap ilbis no one is going to pay 5 mil for steelies. I saw someone trying to sell for 3.5 other day and still hadn't sold when I left. When a better option isn't much more money, people will take the better option.

Buy it up while it drops. Do it in a short enough time and prices will go up... at least for a little bit. xP

From what I'm seeing, Ilbis are the one's that getting (censored) around the most. Well, that effect already spread to the steely market since more people want ilbis now, and so it slackened demand for steelies.

That and the mobs at mysterious path 3 drop steelies faster than a hooker drops her panties. I've gotten 5-6 sets of steelies in about 8 levels there.

Then again, it gives low-funded thieves and exisiting thieves to stock up on those stars like no tomorrow. Wink

I can personally attest to the fact that people are hacking in MP3/Ghost ship whether its for the steelies or for fast lvling (hacking there to get to a decent lvl to hack WS) but yeah theres nearly as much flooding of steelies as ilbis but i think the demand for cheap ilbis is having more of an effect on the prices of steelies than the fact that tons of steelies are becomming available

T_T you people is lucky. I trained at MP3 almost exclusively (as in only taking a couple breaks to PPQ with friends) from lvl 58 to 64 and never got ONE steely.

i do see the downside. once again stars are deflating and NLs get stronger.

why not just make a thief only quest that gives you an untradable glove with 100 attack? you know that it WILL come eventually.
