Never heard the word Athenaeum before, googled it, found out Athene is a goddess of Wisdom.

the -eum part comes from museums, I guess. which were in turn called Mus-eums because it came from a latin term for a place to worship muses. So an Athenaeum is a place of worship for a goddess of Wisdom. Wisdom = Library.

Maplestory is teaching me things!

According to a post they made on Tumblr, they also decided to go back to the old Inventory UI and we now have KMS's Character Equipment UI, which is awesome!

I don't think it's the 300 damage skin, the colours are different. I want this one too though. Does anyone know if damage skins are seen by everyone, or just the player using them?

True, but the pattern is the same. I imagine they edited it slightly since we won't be getting the 300 event (since it's a White Day event, and we don't have that).
That gives me hope that we will be getting it then, if they went to the effort of changing it.

The previewed skin looks alot nicer, so it is all good.

I doubt a permanent version would be cheap enough to even consider though.
