Which is still better than having them in every town. it's better for one place to be laggy than numerous places.

I believe so yeah, JMS had a similar event map with all the event NPCs on one map rather than spread out in towns.

It isn't, the yeti in the screenshot is actually called the "RED Yeti", it's not just a yeti that's been recoloured.
