Hackers starting on Horntail?

My worry is, what if they (the hackers) develop an infinite MP hack or infinity without a cooldown? They (the hackers) will hack mages, craploads of mages and bishops to extremely high levels! They'll input the new MP hack and the no delay hack then down HT in a few minutes!! What happens next?

They'd really need a way to de-boss him so they can use poison or similar to make him die quicker, but that's server side too.

Heal is incredibly weak, especially on a boss.

That's not changing vulneribilities either, it's just turning on the "Undead" flag.
The immune/resist/suscepts are server side now. The undead check for some reason isn't.

I meant, they change stuff in the wz-files to make monsters healable. And if they can make monsters undead, they should be able to make bosses unbossed. Mist may not work, but shadow web should.

Bosses have server side checks to ensure they stay bosses.
Editing the wz can only get you so far.

The wz's are Maple's biggest weakness, since they put far too much game processing dynamic under control of the clients rather than the server, but Nexon seems to have realized a bit more how phenominally stupid a design flaw that is and begun working to fix it.

I duno who is at HT in Bera, but after the SC the HT notice has come up 5 times in the past 5 hours...

They need to add a godmode check on Horntail just like Zakum's 1/1 attack. If you don't get hit by it, you D/C.

I didn't get hit by 1/1 a single time last time I soloed Zakum, so I think there's some other way to check if they godmode or not.

Are you sure this is true? I was using the Sophilia transform on zakum the other day, and it worked out fine.

Atm Mardia is a big hacker haven HT is ruined by hackers every day.

that hack in angelial's video was just like bera's facelt hack...that hacker and his guild pretty much controlled zakum because not only that he can tele in and out altar easily, he can also DC people and stuffs........

I like how Nexon would rather add, reinforce, change, etc their files to prevent Private Servers from going anywhere (Which doesn't seem to be too effective, v62 was cheese, v63 is a roadblock though) and leave the official server open to such exploits.

I'm no rocket scientist or anything but I'm sure all of these 'Anti-PServer' changes take a lot more time then it would to produce 'Anti-Hack' features.

And as mentioned partially before, Nexon also would rather shut down* various MapleStory-related sites. Examples being the DMCA thing with Fiel & his extractions, Lawsuit against OdinMS, various other legal notifications towards Private Server-related people.

* - shut down may be replaced with words such as 'file a lawsuit against', 'annoy', 'disturb'

Hmm. Nexon didnt apply the "minimum-lvl-80-or-u-dc" rule for GMS? In MSEA u get DCed if u enter under lvl 80. That should help a little... kinda.

Not like it's only "hackers" who hack HT. I'm sure lots of people have some nice 80+ legit chars they can use. =)

At Bera at least it seems like some legits decide to cross the road and hack HT
