At least until they stop dropping, I found a new use for the New Years cards - sending messages directly to a GM!
That's right, apparently they aren't blocked for sending to GM characters :f6:
Go figure, and send your favorite (or least) GM a message today!
Not even going to bother ss'ing proof here, as it's a simple matter to get a card and use it.

I have a feeling this will be useless to report a hacker to a GM since they'll probably close all cards they get. And they'll probably get a lot of cards.

in about 20 minutes the GM's inventory will be full, and they will log in for the first time of 2009 sometime in March and wonder what all these items that just expired are.

Do they still drop? I swear I found 0 the entire hour I was grinding on my islander today when I've found at least a few each hour before. :X

You can write down the names of ore hackers in Sleepywood or Ellinia and then send cards to them to fill up their inventory so they can't get any more ores.

Nice idea, but the cards don't actually go into your inventory until you click the "O" button on the little balloon that pops up when somebody sends you one. (It's just like a trade request; you can either accept it or deny and get rid of it.) Botters would never click on the balloons, so they would never receive the cards, so no worries about full inventory.
