I'm waiting for the day they make def useful. They already made ores more useful with the maker skill, def is the only thing left.

New Beginner Skill
Hyper Defense up.
You get it through a rough quest
Multiplies one's physical and magical defense x 5.

It'd be great and would help all those ranged/lowhp classes out there. =P

On topic: Please, can someone post more pics of neotokio?

Mages running around with 5k magic defense? No thank you.

I would post pics of Neo Tokyo, but it's level restriction prevents me on doing so. Sad

It'd have to be passive. It would also have to multiply def by 10 not 5. This would actually make mages' and warriors' high m.def and w.def an advantage point.

Def has to be changed so that it actually can prevent thousand(s) of damage if enough is acquired.

One INT = One mDEF, so LUK gear needs to give a lot more mDef. Chin

Yeah, since item stats are stored for each item anyway, they can just make it give out items with the right stats.

Don't know how easy it is for them to have the Maker skill do that, but if it's been fixed in a server check I guess they know how. Tongue

I'd prefer them to just make the defense formula useful, not do some weird "x5 defense" skill.

And can the "natural defense" level, I have no idea who thought it up but making all characters wearing full level 100 gear take identical damage is retarded. (especially considering it assumes warriors wear Shields, which doesn't work for DKs, so they take moer damage than any other normal stat class)

I can't wait until this comes to GMS... ;_;

Those earrings are crazy.

The first map is ridiculous..

Unlocking other maps will require many people..

Rofl. That claw is hot.

115 Dex Requirement? That means, like 90% of Night Lords will actually be Dexless with LUK Gear.

himes seal now.. worst patch ever.

Just changing the formula is the easiest and most logical way yeah. Why make a skill when we should have the ability to take significantly less damage wearing a shield naturally?

What's the formula now anyway?

Wait, wrong one. Lol
I saw Stereo post it before...

Damage taken? I don't believe there is one. The approximation is watk^2 / 125, but that doesn't take into account defense.

I find it amusing how, just when we think that there wouldn't be any

since GMS=/=JMS

By the time we got such items the weapons would be gacha only.

TKWizard Wrote:Isaac, the 10 atk Elemental earrings were a big mistake. Next patch (Which is only in about two weeks time mind you) will fix them so the 10 atk is taken off the earring.
OMG. So they're Elemental earrings? Does that mean they work like Elemental wands and staves as well. (I highly doubt it but I'm going to ask anyways)
Fiel Wrote:No, it gets worse.

All of the "lightsaber" weapons have item skills attached to them. There's a 90% chance at weapon's level 1 that you'll receive a skill. So far, the skill for all of the weapons is this:

"10% chance to slow enemy mob by 50 speed"

GG Marksmen, Hamstring is now useless. Wink
And it makes slow on Mages useless. Good thing FPs brace isn't too important, but I wouldn't be too happy if I were an IL and lost the skillpoints that could have been invested elsewhere.

How, exactly does this skill work? Is it like a mages slow?
Or a passive slow that works with an attack? (which would be extremely helpful with flying mobs when meteoing)
Or is it when you get attacked, the monster slows down?

He's saying that the earrings are actually pretty easy to make since JMS is in a state of hyperinflation at the moment.

Can't answer this one.

It's passive on the weapon. So the monster you hit has a chance of getting -50 speed.

Comments in bold.

Those aren't regular Himes, those are special himes. Who knows what they're for, they might be in a special event map or a quest area or something.

TKWizard Wrote:Fiel, can you look into the data more carefully?

There seems to be a mob that hits a characters HP directly ignoring any form of MG and such.. So.. If you take 5k damage against this mob.. Yeah.. Chance of living is near 0 unless you hpwash like crazy..

YES, THIS IS THE FIRST TIME A MOB THAT CAN IGNORE MAGIC GUARD AND MESO GUARD!

Or so was I told on AiJMS.
What the hell? That's just messed up if it were true.

Fiel Wrote:"10% chance to slow enemy mob by 50 speed"
Nvrm. I read it wrong. So the chance is 10% the the monster will slow down? I guess it doesn't make slow and hamstring useless after all.

Does this apply to all monsters you hit at the same time (like, 10% of the time, your attacks will slow all monsters)?
Or does each monster have an individual 10% chance at getting slowed?
And does it stack with hamstring/slow?
(Hehe, sorry if I ask too much)
