Monster Carnival is the place to wage war on another party. Currently, warriors and thieves seem to rule the Monster Carnival, but what about the Cygnus newcomers? Will there be a battle for supremacy, or will there be no contest?

There needs to be a Cygnus subforum for all these unreasonable topics.
To answer you; I don't know. How could I, since they are still being tested in KMST and could be changed (made weaker) at any point.
Plus, they aren't going to be released in GMS anytime soon, so why does it matter how they "affect" the Monster Carnival?
On a side note, to limit the spam with these topics, a general discussion about how these classes are compared to regular classes might be useful.
(Even though we can't really know that much about them yet.)
But then again, there are probably already such debates going on in the KMS- or even in the General-section.

Well it depends on the class and what moves you get. If you are a soul master for example when you hit 30 you will want to start maxing out mastery. So you will only have that little extra AP to overpower others. But when you get closer to the 50 end, they would probably overpower their normal counterparts.

How do you even know if Cygnus characters will be able to participate in MC in the final version? It's all speculation at this point.

People wouldn't know what hit them if they had to grind to 120 these days.

Isn't it obvious? The Cygnus classes have stronger skills and more stat points. Oh, and I forgot to mention that the high leveled folks will have Cygnus characters that get a large passive attack boost.

Yeah... because it's the hp boost that'll do everyone in. >_>

Sorry. Typo. Meant SP (or was it AP?)
Edit: Crap. What was I thinking? I meant attack.

Thanks for the laugh. So very true.

At least back then you knew who earned their levels and who didn't. It took me over a year to reach level 120, and now it takes (maybe) 4-5 days.
To be on topic, I think "Traditional and Cygnus will work together" (they will have to, lol). Even though I think that KoC characters shouldn't be allowed to party with anyone... kinda ruins the fun to me, since afterall, they are over-powered at such low levels.

I think that they'll work together. It's not like all the dex-less sins party up together.

i think brawlers are now better for cpq than both these. There was a pic somewhere of two lvl 50 brawlers getting 2k+ with maxed out rombots and speed casted.

I thought it was the other way around, if you have a Cygnus character your main got the attack boost...
Maybe I just misread it >.>

I'd imagine that flame wizards would dominate rooms 3 and 4 with their mob attack that isn't cut in damage like thunderbolt and soul knights would dominate rooms 5 and 6 with their mobility.

It's very easy to get over 1000 CP alone on a warrior too in rooms 3/4.

Strikers aren't much stronger than Brawlers, if at all. They don't get Backspin Blow. They don't get Double Upper. Instead, they get to spend their six precious points on either Energy Charge, which is, in fact only 1 more attack than a Warrior Elixer and only lasts 36 seconds, with a 100% charge rate, or they can learn 6 Lightning Charge, which lets them do 1.06 more damage. No monster in CPQ is weak to Lightning. In fact, Robos, the most prominent monster, are strong to every element.
Soul Knights on the other hand learn Soul Blade which can mob further than a Brawler can Screw Punch, is spammable, has no minimum range, and hits more targets.
Flame Magicians have a six mob skill that attacks as fast as their other basic skills, Magic Booster, which gives them an advantage over all Magician classes already, and Elemental Reset, which I can only assume removes resistances. Obviously going to outdo an F/P Fire Arrowing. There's no doubt that Fire Pillar will outdo Clerics. Regardless of whether or not M. Chronos are on the field, Fire Pillar would gain more points since it can hit every monster, mobs one more, and Elemental Reset would make it stronger. Not to mention that you can mob Rombots instead of M. Chonos.
Windbreakers are every bit better than Hunters and Crossbowmen. Storm Breath and Wind Walk together completely eliminate minimum range issues, as well as drastically increase your damage. Storm Breath is better than Iron Arrow or Arrow Bomb in damage, no questions asked. It only lacks range, and then Stun, which won't matter with its ability to KB 100%.
Assassins already dominate with their broken damage formula. With an added 130% from Sudden Attack and Vampire to mob and leech health, there's no stopping them.
By far, the worst Cygnus in CPQ, with the stats displayed thus far, is a Striker.
