Do you believe in god?
Brandini Wrote:Where did you get that from?

Life is a rare occurence in nature when that was created at certain tempatures with certain chemicals. Life began with one cell and through millions of years of evolution different forms of life has evolved, from plants, to sharks, to dogs, to humans.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cell_theory...ell_Theory
"All cells come from pre-existing cells."

Cool
Man, people are way too sentimental here.

You will have your beliefs questioned at all times, yet it puzzles me how people in the internet can be influenced so hard to the point of believing that they're being offended for mere criticism from a stranger.

Guess that's what faith is all about...I can feel my dad getting a bit fed up whenever I question his beliefs. Whenever I question mines or insight comes from outside to reconsider my beliefs, I enjoy it a lot.

Guess that's why I don't believe in God.
How can someone base their life on flipping a coin?

"Hey let's get married!! Wait, lemme flip my coin to see if God says its ok!

Tails. NOOOOOO. That means he said no.

Hey let's have a baby! Wait, lemme pull out my coin!

Heads. Shoot. No baby for us.

Crap, God hates me."

Not to mention you can keep flipping a coin till you get your answer or majority answer, if it goes that way. She said that if you keep flipping its the one that is majority. Of course, it's her deciding when to stop. Really, don't bother. It's all completely illogical.

Let's hope she doesn't ask God-coin to jump off a cliff.

@ iiMarik: The reason people are "targeting" you is because we don't like to see others live in delusion. You are making things up and rationalizing them as "God did it". You are welcome to believe in God all you want, but to live in delusion? People care and don't want others to live like that. It hurts them and people around them. Sure many of the ways aren't the best way to tell you that but everyone is trying a different direction to get through to you. A belief in God has no actual physical impact on anything in life. It's what YOU make for yourself. You can have things influence you of course, but don't live in delusion. A belief in God is about finding strength, finding about yourself... anything you make it out to be but it's all personal. It's not stuff like this where you literally are just making it up from random thoughts you put together with random ideas in which you make out to be truth. It's not truth. It's true to you, which is delusion. Do what you want, just don't expect others to be accepting of someone believing in illogical nonsense. When it's personal feelings or finding strength, stuff like that, it's true to you but it's not delusional... where you aren't making stuff up and tossing things together.

Anywayyyyyyyyys, I flip a coin sometimes on where to eat. Best 2 out of 3. haha... Sometimes I go against it. :X
[COLOR="RoyalBlue"]I come back the next day and the thread turned into a discussion about coin flips?

Yep.

Though, I'm going through my tribe's spiritual way rather than some organized modern religion.

The Great Spirit(We don't have a version of some all mighty thing like a "god" but spirits) made all things come to be but, he lets life and whatnot move and flow on its own, like it should because that's all he wanted at the beginning(Our creation theory).
Yes, I do believe in God. I won't jump into this discussion any more. Also, out of respect and proper English language, any time you use the word God, or any holy things regarding Christianity, you must capitalize them.
There is a difference between the Christian "God" and the term god. When I speak about god, I speak in the generic "being" that rules, which in exact terms is a god. God is a god. Something to keep in mind, I guess.
I believe in a god, and I believe in the evolution theory and all that (as in, I don't believe that adam and eve were conjured right out of nowhere and conveniently plopped down on earth). However..

I DON'T believe in a religion.
I personaly Don't belive in a god/gods/faith/religion however I have a really complex theory to existance that sort of ...how do you say...hmm..well nvm it. after I'm done working on it and publish it i'll post it up here too...and i mean sort of like a Proffesional theory not just some idea xD..its complex..will post it ..ONE day xD
Why no I don't know option, or intermediate option

But In general, I want to believe that there is something else out there watching over you. That power may or may not interfere with your everyday/some days life, but It is out there...

But i know evolution is proven science -sort of...

Meh that's just me being me...
"God? Whatever." That's how I used to be.

Where I live religion has little influence.

My parents are atheists, and most people here are and don't even think about God and all that stuff.
It seems like just an another thing to worry about instead of taking it easy.

I've been baptized and all that, but only because it's a tradition in here and leads to some benefits when getting married etc.

When I gave the God more thought I realized there's no way I can prove his existence nor against it.

I later heard the word "Agnostic" and realized that is what I am.

I always thought that believers were all church worshiping zealots until a good friend told me it's not like that and explained me more about it.

...so yeah I'm not sure anymore, but I'm still pretty sure nobody can prove it to others.

tl;dr: Agnostic.
Short answer: Yes.
hmm... it would be nice for there to be a god. So yea im gonna say ido because it makes me sleep better.

But for the record im not religious (except for this part) and i havent gone to church or w.e since i was 6. Redface

and for the record: Evolution. not creationism. sorry :]
Yes. There's nothing to lose.

Sorry. I have not read your post and really, I don't want to waste my time doing so. I'd rather be reading rules or such.
You can insult all you want, but at least I have the decency to have a proper avatar. Thanks all. Last post TongueP
Sure, why not? I don't believe God created humans, but I believe God created the multiverse.
I believe in God.

You're refuting someone else's opinion by comparing avatars? >_>
If any of you can prove that 'God' exists, I'll believe too. Until then, he's just like a fairy take character to me. I was raised Christian, went to a Christian school for a few years, and was even baptized. But, I never bought into the whole idea. I have so much more I'd like to rant about, but it's to hard to explain in words. :/
