They've OPENLY acknowledged that there was a meso exploit/hack. They've taken the most logical course of action is dealing with these things. In an attempt to make ammends to the players they'll be holding 2x events. It's more than they need to do. They could quite simply just roll EVERYTHING back a few days and give these compensations... but instead they're taking the time to try to do things properly.

They DEFINITELY need to work on improving fixing other issues of course such as DC hacks and HT holding and the sort... but in regards to this specific event, nexon's taken quite a proper action.

We anticipate servers will remain offline for tonight as we enter our regularly scheduled weekly maintenance period. Servers will be brought back online tomorrow morning at 6 am Pacific (9 am Eastern).

The past is the past, bro. What's done is done, unfortunately, can't do anything about it. At least they're slowly getting better as time progresses though.

Aww, I just scrolled a nice Duck tube last night and now it will disappear :< Figures that when I finally land a few scrolls, it'll be taken away. Not like it was worth anything, but I was still happy about it. Harhar.

Either they didn't update my level up on Sunday or they rolled me back to lvl 95.....

Ew, I was rolled back two levels. It also seems like I don't have the gear on that I left with my alt that I transfer with my DrK. I REALLY hope it's in storage...
