Money for murder?

Soldiers kill others for alot less money, The whole western world indirectly kills people in 3rd world countries. In the context the person who brought up this idea it sounds like it's just a matter of pulling a trigger. Now just add that you won't ever meet close ones of your victem (if they even have those because its a completely random person anyways) and theres no reason to left to not kill someone

The soldier is not trained to "kill," but rather to accomplish his country's military objectives, but even so he accepts the possibility of killing or dying as a course of his job. Most civilians do not want to be in a position where they risk their lives.

I confess I find this thread seriously disturbing and repulsive. I was in a fraternity that hazed its pledges, and within the frat house, where anything went and the police would never find out, people did a lot of sadistic things. Some guy back in the 1970s committed suicide after initiation. I can sorta see why. It's "nice" to know that such people -- including many of you -- would kill someone for money and aren't at all ashamed of it.

I think it depends on the reason that one would want to kill another person. If it was just for money, I couldn't do it. But if there was a serious reason behind me having to do it and my reason was justifiable, then sure I could do it. Depends how long I would feel bad for. All situations are different.

Honestly, I think I'd kill someone for 10 million but, really, it would probably go to some research like cancer or any other weird sickness, so we can cure it and save many more lives. It is sickening but still, it all depends on everyones situation. If you're not exactly funded well enough you'd take this deal in a heartbeat, if you work 1 job and make enough money to live you probably wouldn't. It all depends on the person and their situation.

Getting 4% interest on it annually gives you 200 thousand dollars a year. That's plenty to live moderately comfortable life.

The average lifetime earnings as of a couple years ago were about 2 million. Earning 200k a year is not "moderately comfortable living," it is making a killing. Successful lawyers, doctors and corporates make that much. People who make that much live in mansions. I know because I live in a neighborhood where there are a lot of mansions, and people around here don't all make 200k a year.

I grew up knowing someone who's dad made 200-300 a year and had a nice house, but nothing extremely fancy. I based my view on that family I guess. xP

I'd kill people for money, but only people I'd (and probably after conferring with others) consider the majority of the world better off without. Hell, maybe not even for money, just the satisfaction.

Of course this is all just assuming I wouldn't get caught and I would actually have the physical ability to.

I would not kill a random stranger for any amount of money. The thought of killing someone's parent or someone's sibling, I just couldn't do it. And, if I couldn't kill a random stranger, then there is no way I could kill a friend.

Now, if the person was someone I hated, someone who I really thought deserved to die, I would gladly accept the money and kill with a smile on my face. I guess what I am saying is, it's not the actual taking of a human life that bothers me, it's just who I would be taking it from.
