GMS Server Status Discussion 2012-01
#61
Wouldn't be the first time Nexon blocked off a huge chunk of the world. NYC here.
#62
I made a poll on Basil (lolol) and it seems like it isn't a location issue, since a lot of people playing in supported areas are unable to log in as well. I'm still unable to connect, and unable to use the website as well.. bleh. Probably won't be playing this weekend then.
#63
I installed Hotspot Shield. Now I can access the website, but i still cannot log in. I get 'The connection has timed out' message when I try.
If I try using gamelauncher, I now can now get to the login screen, but just get the 'Trouble logging in?... try the website' message.

Edit:
Oh Oh
If I type in a garbage password, it tells me 'incorrect password', so it actually is accessing the login server, and knows who I am.
Starting to smell like an IP ban.

http://www.basilmarket.com/forum/2255697/3 for the Basil thread if anyone is interested, I think it's a problem with the way Nexon handles different connections to ISPs, as there are two people in Australia with different ISPs, one is able to connect and the other is not.

Anyone unable to connect in the UK on Virgin Media? Or anyone ABLE to connect, I suppose?

Ah, so at least we've figured out the cause, or at least have started to. Wonder if there's anyone in the UK on a different ISP that could try it. I hope they'll figure it out and fix it soon.. said the optimist.

Also on Virgin Media and no luck connecting to the site or the game. Frown

Edit: One of my friends (also in the UK) on a different ISP is currently online and he's had no problems at all.

Sad That makes three from SP. Gah. Is there anyone that could post something on the Nexon forums about this? I would, but as a result of not being able to access their website at all I can't. I've got a friend from New York, she's having the same trouble as us too.

I've been freezing like usual. -_-

I live in Arizona and use Cox Cable and can't access the website or run through Gamelauncher.
#71
Louisiana, Comcast Business Class, and I can connect fine.
It's not having what you want - It's wanting what you've got.
#72
Got a friend from the UK on BT internet and she can connect fine. Virgin Media seems to be unable to connect though.

Edit: NY friend has Optimum Online and can't connect. Anyone else on this ISP?
#73
Israel.

Netvision and Internet Zahav, both can connect fine.

Yup I'm in NYC on Optimum. Can't connect here.

I live in Virginia Beach, Virginia, I use Cox Cable and I cannot connect to the game or the website.

Oh, boy, Nexon.
#76
I should also add that Southperry's host is using Level3, and is located in the Toronto area somewhere, and able to connect (hence us being green).
It's not having what you want - It's wanting what you've got.
#77
Definitely an ISP issue then. Brilliant.
#78
Time Warner Cable , NC USA. Connects fine.

But is it actually with the ISPs, with a common gateway the ISPs are using to get to Nexon's servers, or something Nexon's done?

So many points of failure.
It's not having what you want - It's wanting what you've got.

I tried connecting via dialup (without hotspot shield enabled) on a different computer, and this uses a completely differend IP address, but still could not connect to website or game.
