Red has leveled 70-80 Pokemon. Highest is level 88 Pikachu. You get a Hoenn Starter after beating him, and you fight him after getting all 18 badges...

I just checked my Pearl cart, and apparently I clocked over 600 hours so far on it. Woo!

What is that? It looks like Phoenix Wright had a child with Solid Snake. Also I like how the sequel has two people indicating that it's number 2. Japan *rolls eyes*

I love grindan!

 Spoiler

Anyways, if you've played GSC, then you can pretty much get through this since nothing much has been changed story-wise. For movesets, you can just look at the DPPt Pokedex on Serebii.

I never understood why everyone got a massive erection for G/S/C. Is it really because you get to visit Kanto and fight Red in it? Because I did play G/S/C and I got up to right before Indigo Plateau and then I never touched the game again. Would going to Kanto in G/S/C really change my opinion about the game? Because I'm actually going to finish the game this time when this comes out.

I never understood why you get a massive erection on thinking your superior to everyone else because you don't like G/S/C.

Anyone playing Gold wanna tell me what your rival's default name is?

I'm playing Soul Silver and it named him Heart <_<

Also, my game crashed and apparently rolled back half an hour of saves... orz I WILL PERSEVERE
Luckily, I can change my system clock to some time in the afternoon so I don't have to wait til tomorrow to catch a fucking Pidgey again.

Yes, it makes ALL the difference. Up to that point it's just your typical pokemon game. Then you visit Kanto two years after the last game and it's gone through some dramatic changes. It really gives the pokemon series a more realistic feeling (shut up I know you CATCH ANIMALS WITH BALLS that's not what I mean.) Before (and after) G/S/C it was just a static world where things happen for a certain period of time and then you forget about it once you've saved the world. G/S/C pushes that by showing that the poke-world goes on even when you're not around. Things kept changing, people grew up. It's like going to college and then coming home four years later; it's refreshing and new yet nostalgic and familiar.

I've had this hope for several years now that for the next pokemon games, the final ones (or so they announced) that they will split it up into the typical two games but each will be radically different and feature two regions. One with Kanto/Hoenn and the other with Johto/Sinnoh, featuring their respective pokemon and for once a real reason to not be able to catch them all in one game. Also instead of going through one region to reach the other like in G/S/C, you could choose freely between the two, however you need to surrender your team for that specific region to enter the other until you've completed the league on both sides.

imo that would rule. Also I feel SO GROSS for writing all of that about Pokemon. brb showering.

By any chance, would anyone like to share where they got their ROMs? >_>
I'm definitely set on buying it, but not while I can't put it on my DS.

I'm not saying that I'm superior, I actually hate my own opinion in regards to G/S/C. I do want to enjoy G/S/C as much as everyone else does, but I never did. That's why I asked if getting past Indigo Plateau would change my mind about it.

If you don't think so, leave the thread.

No need in criticizing everyone else.

You're very defensive about your pokemons. Were you in a traumatic pokemon-related accident as a child? The sole survivor... saved by your Bulbasaur, perhaps?
