Welp, time to get back to Balrog farming.

On the Nexon forums,

We are planning to give Maple Points based on the duration remaining of any pet skill equipment and pet rings that you currently have.

Somehow I don't feel confident about this decision.

That's very distressing.

Pet equips & Kinshin will be the downfall of this patch.

Some sort of compensation is better than no compensation. You won't see me complaining. I was expecting them to just wipe them and do nothing about it.

I don't have maple points already so the new skills has to be cheaper than the 78ish days left of my item magnets worth of maple points they give me.

Kishin's nice, but, like HS, unless you have a dedicated mule for yourself or have an alliance member that mains one and is very active, it's a waste of time trying to find them for training sessions IMO

The only reason I marginally care is because it will nerf the spawn rate in evo world for everyone, regardless of whether or not you use a Kanna.

There's a theory that the only reason we see continuous spawn in evo (or any other map) is because some kanna was in that map instance before us since the last server check, otherwise it would just be the usual old 7-second respawn. Not sure I believe this; although it does make a certain amount of sense.

To add to this.. I think I've (ab)used the permanent pet gear enough well more than its purchase cost.

I will definitely miss the flexibility of being able to switch between the pets but my Mercedes main doesn't benefit much from this anyway (the god cursed locked CS).

I care because i'm a kanna...

Just fearing the worst for kanna atm. Will we get insignificant dmg% increases if any? Will there be a change in the multiplier? Will haku get %boss/pdr? Define "slightly" reduced. What constitutes "a little buff"?

Needless to say, you can't just reduce kanna's most notable skill then give us "a little buff"
