v.111 - Maple Class Reunion Update Notes
#21
Good news: The perma badge quest seems pretty simple. Kill to get 50 etcs. Not bad.

Bad News: Probably has the caveat of "Must be + or -11 levels" and "drop rate lower than everything in existence" Plus we may be able to get "and other cool items" instead of the badge and belt.

Doesn't matter I guess. I'm just gonna get the badge at least once on the "main" characters I play and then get a few extra depending on how easy it is to get.

Quote:Collect a Bounty Mark from the drops of the appropriate target and bring it back to Cassandra.
These quests are repeatable.
Quest rewards include experience, mesos, and one of the following five items:
Scroll for Gloves for Magic Attack 60%: Magic ATT +1, INT +1, Success Rate: 60%.
Clean Slate Scroll 10%: Restore 1 available upgrade lost to failed scrolls. Untradeable. Cannot be used on Cash items. Success Rate: 10%.
Swiss Cheese: +220 Magic ATT for 2 minutes.
Chocolate Cream Cupcake: Restores 300 HP/MP, +30 ACC/Speed/Jump for 3 minutes. Untradeable.
Melting Cheese: Restores 4000 HP.

Does anyone have a feeling this may be a Magic class? (INT/MA based), I don't see a physical version of the scroll. :f6:

If it's true, what weapon will it use? Wand/staff or something new?

I dunno, I prefer the minimal treatment we're getting now to how we got absolutely nothing before.

It's not good by any means, but a 1/10 is still technically improvement on a 0/10.

Or perhaps it uses a whole different structure of stats instead of the typical int/luk or dex/str etc.

And what exactly is it about this event that makes you say that?

New events, more interesting than they usually are? Check.
Bug fixes and known issues with a detailed description? Check.
Termniation of a pomegranatety and abused system? Check.

It is a work in progress and they seem to finally realise that.

That seems like it might undermine Nexon's potential profits from potentials.

If bounty hunter is mage based, Screw my phantom, I'll make a BH.

Am I the only one that noticed that Nexon finally recognized the horntail entrance glitch? Though its only in the section that they acknowledge its existence. Took'em 2 years....

I'm sure many noticed. Just that.. the catch is that Justice brings instanced bosses (including Horntail).

Bounty Hunter Badge: Req Lv: 50, STR/DEX/INT/LUK +5, Max HP/MP +200, ACC/AVOID +10, Speed +5, grants additional +5 to STR/DEX/INT/LUK and +3 to Weapon/Magic ATT to the upcoming GMS exclusive character. A Sharing Tag is required to move it within the account.
Assuming Nexon is still Nexon, I'm pretty sure this means that the v111's extractions (and, actually, the items themselves, once obtained) will give away the official name of the new class. So we can look forward to people trying to interpret that, I'm sure.

Care to explain how people needing to cube a whole new set of equips would undermine Nexon's profits?

I'm actually surprised they haven't realized that new classes would make them more money if people had to cube more than just a weapon.

Are we to expect Nexon to suddenly make a class that uses Accuracy or Max MP as a stat that contributes to damage ranges?

this, i'm just happy they haven't realized or cared to do this yet.

@above: imagine a magic warrior requiring int/dex, or str/int.

When I read "whole different structure of stats," I was thinking he meant a restructuring of how stats apply to the damage formula; i.e., perhaps all stats are weighted equally or something. I guess that's just personal interpretation though.

That would be great!, if all stats were required for the job and all stats would boost the same amount. It wouldn't flux the economy as much in terms of equips I think.

On the other hand, it might be too imbalanced LOL.

Speaking of potentials, inb4 they get a personal shield like DS/Mikhail Shield :|

Well, seems like dual weapon potentials are quite the rage nowadays. Rolleyes

*wonders what weapon the new class will use*
