This is from a game, and yet I take it to heart, regardless. It actually makes a lot of sense (to me), and it actually has impacted my life significantly. I don't feel the need to be overly reliant on others.

It's positive. It is to stop my meaningless never-ending depression cycles. Once you're aware of something imminent, you stop being afraid of it, or any bullsh'it to a lesser extent compared to it.

I don't know who said it. I just made it up and believe it. I don't like being forced to rely on other people and I don't like it when people scold me for doing something wrong when they were asking me to do something with nothing in return. If you want it done right, do it yourself.
