Really? When has ANY rollback took 3 hours? Proof please! I have two roll backs to back up my claim

I never said there was a rollback that took 3 hours. But past rollbacks in themselves aren't proof enough to say a rollback can't take 3 hours.

I think in a realistic matter it would take longer than 3 hours to reset everything (NX, mesos, exp, character status, character location, MTS sales, NX charging, etc) in a timely manner. I'm fairly ignorant in the subject on how they handle those things but having to reset everything and have compensations for whatever the losses may be would surely take more than 3 hours, wouldn't it?

Isn't a rollback swapping out the database with an older version? I don't think they're manually setting character location and the like.

I don't really understand how it would work in MapleStory, but as far as I know it's done manually. There was a time when certain characters were rolledback while others weren't, which caused the deletion of items from transferring.

I'm glad the maple community has gotten on Nexon's ass about the rollback issue. It means they've pressured the company enough to actively seek out better solutions for game problems as opposed to hitting the big ol' reset button. Of course, it is unfortunate that the company has to deal with users exploiting the hell out of the game. Yuck.

Well, they may as well extend and combine this with the regular SC anyway, since they are already close and would probably let them focus on getting it done instead of working within a limited timeframe.

This SC will just extend into the normal SC time.

Completely expecting this to extend into the maintenance as well.
I just wish they'd let me finish my stupid quests.

What the hell. I demand an extension for the halloween event. >_>

Then again, we wouldn't have any problems if this were a perfect world. I guess we have to suck it up.

Too bad too, because I blazed my way through the annoying-as-all-hell Kerning Square chain last night.

It's a good thing school kept me busy all week.

Downside - I lose my new dagger, i lose 2 levels on my DB, and i lose my thorns 30 cs book.

Upside - I get 9 vegas, 3 hammers, and 10 10% dagger att scrolls back. And some asshole in my guild loses 50 bil
