Big Bang patch glitches, surprises, features, comments...

OMG to all buccss dragon strike feel a lot slower in transformaton and super transformation. Anyone else notice ?

just tested it out. It feels like its a little bit faster than what we had pre-BB, but it's significantly slower in transform.

Dcing during pap,, and GM Police message/dc during scar.

well, dont KPQ on a lvl 164 evan and attack ligators with earthquake. you will be banned xD

I heard that all summon bosses were glitched, but then I heard in game that they were working, to give it a try, I went pap twice, which worked perfectly, meanwhile a friend soloed zak and had no trouble.
So I said "I think I'll go solo my first zak, I'm weak and my skills aren't where they should be, but this might be fun".
Got there, altar was empty so I went in with no trouble, killed the arms perfectly, when I got to body things started to get weird, after the first 10th or so, the HP bar disappeared, so I didn't know how much I had killed, then when he started summoning stronger monsters, the Cuzcos (Big brown rocks with like hats) were invicible! I would Dragon strike and dragons popped out from thin air, sometimes it would show a "lvl 68 Cuzco" (or whatever lvl or name it is), but that's about it.
Then, when I estimate I killed first body, 2nd body didn't appear... I was gonna quit but I accidentally hit the Time leap button instead of scroll lock and dced ._. I haven't gone back online yet, but hopefully my char isn't stuck.

For the record, I've NEVER experienced any issues with any boss, and I run on Windows XP 32bit.

Fiel predicted that the boss hp bar would go boinkers. Something about the hp bar being negative value or something

Hmm now that you mentioned, I think your character "freezes" in time if you alt-tab out...

My buddy last night while training at memory monks suddently got a popup which minimized ms for a good 5-10 min, when she got back she was still at full health. Also, if you alt-tab and afk for a while, when you come back, you see all the players moving and flying past you even though everything happened hours before. This leads me to believe that the game doesn't process taking damage while you alt-tab.

I should test this out when i get home...

Yes you do freeze in time when you alt tab. And you can infuriate the GM Police by being alt-tabbed. If you leach someone who is alt tabbed the atacker will get dc'ed by GM Police. If you want to annoy the world sit on some nibby popular training map with your automatic party searcher on while you are alt-tabbed (browsing forums or something) and anyone who joins your party and kills a few monsters will dc (best results are relog another account on another windows account so you can watch the results). You also don't see chats or maple tips while alt tabbed. But you still get the "you've been playing x hours" messages. This is not new in this patch, it came with the previous patch that "helped fix" compatibility issues. Window mode fixes these issues if your computer is up, but I haven't tried it with logging into another windows account (got sick of dc'ing and gave up leaching my little mules). Clearly training someone who is alt-tabbing is hacking as that's what the GM Police keep telling me.

This is a bit annoying. I alt+tab all the time while playing. I like browsing forums and such every now and then. I'm guessing this is what happened to BACON yesterday when I saw him frozen in Henesys on his Aran.

Don't be silly, i was still killing memory monk on the same map with 2 other people for the whole duration of 5 minutes my friend was alt-tabbed out and standing there in the middle of the map. We were all partied together and nothing as you described happened

I logged off my sniper there last night, and if I try to log into it now, MS closes but the process stays up...

yeah this is happening to me as well. last played my bandit in singapore about an hour ago, now i cant get into the game on any character

I can move around Magatia on Bellocan just fine. Seems like it's either Scania or your account.

As in you get to the character selection screen, pick a char, enter your pin, and dc? That's what's happening to me right now (Scania as well)

Exactly that, tried different channels and characters and I can't log in.

yeah i think Scania's fuc'ked at the moment. I can't get online either. I was online for like 2 hours and i get randomly DCd in LPQ and now get the "character id already logged in" error.

Well that marks 24 hours, still no fix, 1/100 Bugs ain't to bad is it?

I've noticed something. If you are having problems logging into a character, try logging in to that character using View All Characters, and see if it works. So far its 2/2 in my guild.

None of my characters from scania show up, only 4 random ones from various servers.

EDIT: well i got onto my hero now, not sure what changed.

Hmm thats weird then. That's like what happened to me right after the game opened, sorry I don't have any suggestions for that.
