the room you're talking about is the one with the party HP bars appear over your 'classmates'
a friend said when he tried to leave the room it would not let him, so i don't know what's wrong here, the NPC did nothing to help
talk to npc teach at top of the map
forfeit the quest if it's in your log
select the "talk" option
proceed as normal
