Two people can enter the same Ornate Chest "room" (instance?), but the other person will be invisible. I went into one and a few things were "out of stock" (which made little sense, since my friend entered again and had his own "room" that was in stock), but a few seconds later I saw a stack of arrows and unagis drop out of no where.
