It's not KH3, it's KH3DS. It's not technically a numbered title. (Yes I'm being anal about it.) But it IS after KH2 chronologically.
Also; maybe save for 358/2 days and that piece of pomegranate Re:Coded, the prequels / spinoffs that have come out have actually been fairly important to the plot development.
