Clarification on Sockets

We don't need NX sinks.
Also, pretty sure it would be unprecedented for an NPC to take NX.

Yes, but that's items you ask to socket.
The question was why not give all items in the game sockets automatically. Why do we have to go to the NPC and tell him we want a socket on this item, if it's free and works 100%? And my answer, MTS.

Because it's not always going to be free.
Presumably, it will become another meso sink.

I kinda hoped it wouldn't be free (even though it won't be after next patch) just because meso sinks tickle me in the pants region.

Then you'll be happy to know that it's only temporarily free.

Granted, the next patch will probably be a whole month from now, giving people plenty of time to socket everything, but still.
