That'd destroy many expansion possibilities such as Bigger Ben, Affluent Tower, etc.. afterall, how can they add more areas to them if they are.. destroyed? Now that I think about it it sort of makes sense. Now hear me out when I say this. I love Prose, I think Prose is an amazing writer and made a FANTASTIC area. But, in retrospect, now just hear me out, I think Prose wanted a little bit TOO much. Am I saying it's bad? No. But the way Masteria was laid out in his plans it would have probably taken years to finish. You know unless this was part of his plan I don't know. Starting over does make sense and it could be an awesome way to go on. From the looks of the video you CAN still enter Bigger Ben but we'll have to see once the patch goes live. What they could also do is something like this: The Krakians see NLC in a state of shock and disarray so they decide now its the time to attack. Professor Foxwitt comes up with a plan that we can go back in time to stop all this mayhem. But, Dr. Krakia is one stop ahead of him. He goes back in time to launch the attack early to stop us. Fearing we have no other option Ice Byrd Slimm decides we need to open a portal to Versal and get aid. I don't know yes it sounds stupid and yes I pulled it out my ass just saying what COULD come of it. Before we jump to any conclusions we need to actually see the area, read the quests and fully explore it before we can say what we like, dislike, and what may become of it. Who knows, this could be the single best thing to ever happen to Masteria.
But then, if destroyed NLC isn't going to be permanent.. will they just replace it with the old NLC map or will they make it more realistic and rebuild it from scratch with some changes here and there? Afterall, you can't exactly rebuild a whole town as it was before. It wouldn't make much sense.
Also, what do you guys think they're going to do with the old quests? If they removed them there must be a reason, and it might as well be that the hints Prose gave when he wrote them aren't coherent with their current plans for Masteria anymore. They might as well have discarded several expansion possibilities which were initially hinted by Prose's quests. This would explain the whole idea of destroyed NLC as an expedient to "start from scratch" as someone already guessed.
I hope there will be a lot more of them.
