Should I ditch my mage?

I have played mage for 2 years, and played other classes before as well... I have come to realise that Mage dmg can never compare to any physical attacking classes... but I am going ahead anyway...

then tell me how come mages are one of the only classes that can 1hko multiple monsters at once mages are essential to trianing at higher levels night lords are ok but only if you have big bucks which requires good merchanting skills or selling leech which is mainly a mage dominated bissness
