A more accurate DPS measure would to take into account the average attack ratio of the class's weapons.
That way, DB's, who have 193 natural weapon attack with clean 140 equips compared to 161 for mages with wands (far the better choice over a staff, only a small attack difference for a full speed stage), 69 for Night Lords (balanced out by their multiplier and their %'s), 131 for Paladins and Marksmen, 114 for Demon Slayers, 122 for Arans and Dark Knights, 137 for Heroes, 128 for Bow Masters, Shadowers, and Mercedes, et cetera.
'nuff said.

You clearly have no clue how mages weapon speed works. The only skill belonging to mages (aside from Battle Mages) as far as I know is explosion for f/p mages. Every other skill isn't based on the weapon speed, but on the cast speed, which is the same, regardless of weapon type.
