HP washing w/ Empathy MP?

Nice! Been a while since I've HP washed, but if you can add AP into MP with INT gear on and get a boost, could you add AP into MP, buy an AP reset, take MP out and add HP, then take out MP again and add STR/LUK/DEX for example? Or is there some weird thing about not being able to reset out of MP back into HP, since they're the same 'pool'?
