How about instead of wiping out an entire population simply fix living conditions as that's a reason an incest can infect so many people but it appears that sounds too much like right for you too to even consider. Or do what we've done to so many other infections carried by a parasite and create a vaccine. Again it appears that sounds too much like right.

Either that or hope a whole bunch of people get hybrid sickle cell and malaria wont be a problem.
