Setting up a vm for maple really isn't all that difficult for an average user. The only difficult part is the workaround for maple explained in the thread. I can run 2 vms + reg maple (all with W7) with only 4gb of ram though I usually only use 1 vm since 2 stretches my ram pretty tight.
