I've never heard of this one, but if it's about chimps eating human babies, it's irrelevant. All non-herbivorous animals, including humans, eat other species. It's not "immoral".

Gods were invented to explain the unknown. Later, human rulers used the gods' powers to give themselves authority. Check out the Code of Hammurabi. The only reference to a deity there is by saying the gods made him King. All the laws are human laws and refer to justice in the human world, not a single mention of punishment by divine entities, in this world/life or the next one. If those laws were not backed by the king's own law-enforcement goons, the punishments listed in them would not occur.
