Rick Perry has some black spots on his track record when it comes to objective decision making. Then again so do most of the other Republican candidates for issues other than religious fervor. Romney has escaped with not too many bruises from the internal slander.

There are some religious leaders that will try to pull crap like that, but then there are probably atheists that would fit the stereotype I gave. It's just, you know, there are a lot of people in the US that like this kind of leader since they share the same views.
