Using a scroll does not take mesos out of the economy. It takes items out.
Selling items in MTS does not take mesos out of the economy. It takes NX out. It doesn't matter if 150 nx is worth about 1mil, the sum total of all mesos in the game does not change.
Mesos is used to buy a glove attack scroll, costing very little loss in mesos. The glove attack scroll is moved into MTS, where it is bought using NX, costing slightly more than the previous transaction, but still only slight.
From here, the NX can travel in two directions:
1) It can be used to buy more items in MTS, where the "slight" tax will eventually build up.
2) NX gained by the original seller is spent on items in the Cash Shop, where it basically disappears.
To sum down:
Mesos ~> NX ~> Cash Item
= Mesos ~> NX ~> Disappear
= Mesos ~> Disappear
Think of the glove attack as a catalyst. It doesn't matter where the items go, it matters where the mesos go.
