Actually, is the Wise Man's Ring better than the Magical Ring?

I think the critical ring is better than the magical ring, here's a comparison Rainsforever did
for the wise man and crit ring:

Taking your values, assuming the rings don't stack, we'll make x be the average
damage and multiply the crits onto it. The crit rate is calculated as whatever %/100 multiplied by the
((min + max critical multiplier)/2 * damage increase).

For brevity, the minimum critical multiplier is 1.2, and maximum is 1.5. (both unbuffed), making the average ~1.35.

I/L:
Wise Ring: 33% crit chance + 20% crit damage. ==> x + [.33 * (1.35 * 1.2)]x ==> 1.5346x
Crit Ring: 40% crit chance. ==> x + [.4 * (1.35)]x ==> 1.54x

Interesting. The Wise Ring is very slightly less effective than the Critical Ring here.

F/P:
Wise Ring: 8% crit chance + 20% crit damage ==> x + [.08 * (1.35 * 1.2)]x ==> 1.1296x
Crit Ring: 15% crit chance. ==> x + [.15 * (1.35)]x ==> 1.2025x

Crit Ring is quite a bit better than Wise Ring for F/P because of F/P's low inherent crit rate.

Bishop:
Wise Ring: 58% crit chance + 20% crit damage ==> x + [.58 * (1.35 * 1.2)]x ==> 1.9396x
Crit Ring: 65% crit chance. ==> x + [.65 * (1.35)]x ==> 1.8775x

It seems at this high of a base critical rate, the 7% crit difference is now less than the 20% damage increase from criticals. So Bishops should get Wise Ring.

BaM:
Wise Ring: 53% crit chance + 20% crit damage ==> x + [.53 * (1.35 * 1.2)]x ==> 1.8586x
Crit Ring: 60% crit chance. ==> x + [.6 * (1.35)]x ==> 1.81x

Once again, because of the high inherent crit rate, Wise > Critical (albeit less noticable than Bishop).

Evan:
Wise Ring: 38% crit chance + 20% crit damage ==> x + [.38 * (1.35 * 1.2)]x ==> 1.6156x
Crit Ring: 45% crit chance. ==> x + [.45 * (1.35)]x ==> 1.6075x

Slightly in favor of the Wise Ring.

Conclusion: At around 40% crit rate with the Crit Ring, the Wise Ring and the Crit Ring equal out in effectiveness. Any higher, Wise Ring is better; any lower, Crit Ring.

This "rule" will probably change with the addition of Decent SE and other +crit damage, +min crit damage, +max crit damage, +crit rate buffs.

The ring would be beneficial to all of the mages except f/p due to their low crit rate.
