You're trying to compare how you got to where you are to what people have today as if they're even remotely similar circumstances. You may as well be bragging about how wonderful it was when you lived in your house and how nicely laid out and easy it was to get around and find everything to someone who moved in the week it burned down and try telling them the house is still great, it's clearly just their problem because it was never a problem when you lived there.
Yes the game may be easy for you to navigate around in because as you said, you've had five years to build up your support network and figure out people. New people, by nature of the concept of being new, do not magically already have several years worth of acquaintances to draw upon. Considering the current environment, in which you can not throw a tuna without hitting a hacker, duper, scammer, spammer, farmer or idiot, them miraculously avoiding all of those and only finding the super secret wonderful people who by your own advice are effectively hiding seems rather miniscule don't you think?
The situation is the same just more refined and evolved. The only new problem it has become accepted by the community. Even then not every single person you meet is a hacker or is associated with one as you go up the lvl chain around my lvl you can easily identify whose hacking and whose not. I never said the process was easy but its not as hard as you make it seem it. There's a lot of hacking out there but 98% of it is fairly easy to avoid. No one said you had to find this super secret group of legit players to associate yourself with but at the same time you should be aware of the people who do hack and abuse every single glitch at their and suck up to d/c hackers so if they do a run it doesn't last 2 seconds.
