Fiel's extractions also wouldn't point it out as he didn't run a differential analysis on existing mobs.
Since we hadn't heard of it before, some people just assumed it was a glitch.
I'm not sure how the mobs are structured, but I find it unlikely that elemental weaknesses and resistances would be accidentally removed from a very specific set of monsters.
Seemed to me the decision was made more in hopes that everyone would eventually move over to Future Ereve.
