Lohd is also around in the Ellin forest after the battle with the Black Mage, according to Aran's story line. if he were a hero, he would be sealed/dead at this point.

I would imagine the same place as the official art: On the wolf mount.
Doesn't look like it, but it looks like their emblem is supposed to have a connection to their weapon, which given the arrowhead, it does.
