Seems like they're preparing a new part of Time Temple.

I actually think that the Door to the Past does take us back in time.
It would make sense if Pink Bean's summoning was a long-ago attempt at bringing back the Black Mage since the Black Wings don't seem involved in it at all.

That actually makes a lot of sense because, when you get your first Dream Fragment, you're told to take it to Neinhert.
I don't remember the text verbatim, but he definitely makes it sound like Dream Fragments are the remains of something that has been conjured up.

Of course, if the rest of what you say is true, it makes me wonder what the point of the Dream World is.
If it's not real, it's not a threat unless someone goes in it or something comes out of it.

I'm sticking to my idea that ToT is relative. I mean, what the pineapple is the Goddess' Mirror, an object that can grant any wish, doing in a throne room for what appears to be for no one, IN THE PAST. seems a little too random if you ask me. I think that the entirety of Memory Lane holds the memories of everyone that lives under the goddess, and that the future holds their dreams of what could be, in one big metaphorical moral lesson-type of place. All of this creates a form of time based harmony which allows the goddess to remain in her sleep, and the goal of the black magician is to wake her from that sleep for an ulterior motive. Whether that is to free himself from his prison or to simply destroy all life while he's safe behind his gates is the only thing I can't answer.

As for the black wings, I don't think they're anything more than Jessie and James to team rocket's Giovanni. Theyre the bumbling fools that only serve to stall the plot.

I hope those MacGuffins get retconned out or retconned into something else.
The entire time I was doing those quests I kept thinking, "Oh, there's a set of mystical stones that are scattered because, if they're brought back together, they can free the Black Mage. Where have I heard that before?"

Every time a work of fiction has a sealed baddie who can be freed by a formula created by those who sealed him, I facedesk.

I agree that it's stupid, but I doubt Nexon's going to make the plight of the Black Mage a novel worthy plot.


EDIT: forgive me if I'm mistaken but didn't Ereve coat itself in a shield and fly away the moment the Black Mage took his stand? Don't really thing a past Ereve would give us much...

Oh, and twenty bucks on Neinheart being the Black Mage all along...
