I think she teleports away, sure, but what if to reconvene with Akhyrum, the Demon Slayer (whom doesn't seem to have a canonical name), and Von Leon? What if later, she is punished for her failure?
We might see her come back stronger, albeit one part of the Black Mage raid (WoW style end, anyone?).
An expedition broken into 4 parts makes it so big name bossers and hackers don't win the illegit/legit first kills in one day.
Furthermore, it'd show some creativity.
